In November Josonia Palaitis was Guest of Honour and Speaker at the Cremorne Old Girls' Annual Luncheon.  The capacity audience of former students were especially moved by Josonia's story about the Childers Memorial Painting.  It was an intensely emotional time for her in 2002 when she was at the canvas depicting the 15 young packpackers who perished in the hostel fire at Childers, Qld, in 2000.  (See earlier news item October 2002.)  Jo graduated from Cremorne Girls' High School in 1965.
