Jo will be holding workshops and giving a free artist talk at the Tweed River Regional Art Gallery at 10am on Sunday January 19th. She will be introducing her own working methods, challenges, inspirations and experiences with reference to her major works, including her portrait of Dr Cindy Pan which is currently on display at the Gallery as part of the touring exhibition Portraits 2001 - An Australian Odyssey.

The Workshop will involve working from a photograph or photographs to create a watercolour portrait study in preparation for a major work. Participants are asked to bring painting materials and loads of inspiration.

Postscript

The workshop and talk were a terrific success with the Gallery recording one of its largest ever responses to such an occasion. Jo is looking forward to continuing involvement with the gallery after its  move to new premises.
